The Edo State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Express Airline and KDN Aero, marking a significant step towards establishing Edo Air, the proposed state-owned airline.
The initiative is more than owning an airline; it is about creating jobs, boosting tourism, attracting investment, expanding business opportunities, and making air travel more accessible for Edo State people and Nigerians as well.
In the words of the Edo State Governor, His Excellency, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, Edo Air “will also strengthen connectivity and open new economic frontiers for the state”. The Governor went further to state, “Our goal is to build an Edo State where opportunities abound, businesses thrive, and our people directly benefit from development”.
Twin2Media research shows China Express Airlines (also known as Huaxia Airlines) is China's first privately owned regional airline, headquartered at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport in Chongqing, China.
