The Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on Monday, 31st August 2026, received the Prime Minister of the State of the African Diaspora, Dr Louis-Georges Tin, and his delegation in Benin City for the signing of a strategic development partnership aimed at attracting investment and driving sustainable development.

The partnership will explore major opportunities across seaport development, agriculture, railway infrastructure and other key sectors with the potential to create jobs, strengthen our economy and improve the well-being of the people of Edo State.

The partnership goes beyond investment. It is also about reconnecting Africans in the Diaspora with their ancestral homeland and creating meaningful opportunities for them to contribute to the development of Edo State.

The Governor stated that his administration will continue to strengthen the Edo State Diaspora Agency and create an environment where Diaspora investors and partners can confidently return, invest and build with us.
