Politics is the science of nation building and the art of doing things that can move society and people forward. Those who play politics (as it’s known in civilised societies) are hardworking people who continue to PLAN and WORK whereas those who play intrigues (mostly underdeveloped nations) are lazy people who always PLOT.
For me, politics is about service. It is positive and 'good', whereas intrigues are about mischief. It is negative and 'evil'. (Depending on who defines them).
INTRIGUES (plotting, pushing and shoving) is one of the curses of the black man and major reason why the prospects of development is so far away …
POLITICS (Nation-building, development, promotion of fair society, social harmony, and economic growth etc) is the reason why some developed countries are so far away
Travel from Country A (where the POLITICIANS are statesmen) to Country B (where the POLI-TRICIANS are intrigue masters) and you will feel the difference in the air.
